Research for travel services to-, on- and from Easter Island may take weeks, even months. It's a remote piece of dry land in the Pacific Ocean, so don't forget to ensure flights first and then accommodation.

Additionally, land-based transportation can be resolved by various vehicle-operating firms on the island. For these you will have to do individual (independent research), as Easter Island Quest does not promote any of these firms. Motor vehicles (including motorcycles, 4x4 off-road vehicles and even bicycles can be rented).

Some local offer horseback-riding services as well. But a simple hike by foot can be a great adventure of a lifetime. Use the map to find the most important places on the island and build your own circuit!

Obviously the most important to have when on this tiny green piece of land is a nice hotel...

Most people spend 7 days on Rapa Nui. There's plenty to discover, the distances are larger than you might believe! Time flies... so, do put some effort into finding a good place for a good night's sleep!

One of the resources we recommend you to use is HostelWorld, a major accommodation booking site that can help you find hotels across the country (and obviously, the rest of the World).

The mentioned platform lists quite a large number of local and international hotels. You'll be impressed even with the number of hotels it will find on Rapa Nui!

As for airlines - pretty much the only choice you have is the national carrier, LAN Chile, which operates flights on Boeing 767 wide-body jets to Santiago, Chile. Occasionally flights to Papeete and Lima ensure additional connections.
