Ahu Tongariki - moai site

It is an impressive site with 15 moai. The statues were destroyed by a huge tidal wave in 1960, but the site was restored afterwards.

You mustn't miss Ahu Tongariki when visiting Rapa Nui. It is a great site that most travelers visit and take pictures of.

Don't confuse Ahu Tongariki with Tongariki Beach. These are 2 distinct things. The beach is one thing and the ahu is the archaeological site.
